About This Procedure

Breast augmentation surgery is a very easy surgical technique that creates aesthetically attractive breasts. Silicone breast implants, which feel like soft breast tissue, are placed beneath the glandular tissue of the breasts. This operation can be performed to increase breast size, reshape the breasts after childbearing, or restore symmetry following a mastectomy.

Common Concerns

The following questions are often asked about breast augmentation and breast enlargement:

• Durability of Breast Implants: Implants are designed to be long-lasting, providing lasting results for patients.

• Safety: Silicone implants are considered safe for use in breast augmentation surgery. There is no evidence, based on current knowledge, that silicone implants are detrimental to health. Millions of breast enlargements have been safely performed worldwide since 1962, with only a small percentage of these causing problems.

• Long-Term Effects on Health: Extensive research and clinical experience have shown that breast implants generally have no long-term adverse effects on health. However, individual experiences may vary, and patients are encouraged to discuss any concerns Dr Tjasink.

Will my breasts stay the same shape and size?

Dr Shashi and the patient will decide on the size of the implants before to the operation. This decision will be based on your expectations, body type, and my experience. We will also discuss clinical ‘before’ and ‘after’ images. Your breasts will be slightly enlarged and uncomfortable following the operation. Your final breast size will become obvious after six weeks, and it may fluctuate with weight gain or reduction, just like it did before the operation. Aging can also impact larger breasts, and drooping can occur over time. This is something that can be remedied surgically. It is critical to recognise that no one is perfectly symmetrical, even before a surgical surgery. Every attempt will be made to surgically reduce your side-by-side discrepancies, but such differences will always exist to some extent, even after the most effective procedure.

Motiva® implants are the preferred choice for women considering breast enhancement surgery. They stand out as the only breast implant globally to feature “Q Inside Safe Technology,” offering patients greater control over their implants.

These implants strike the perfect balance between silicone volume and tissue coverage, resulting in breasts that appear and feel entirely natural. The innovative MotivaHybrid™ technology allows for customization using the patient’s own fat cells, leading to fuller breasts and enhanced cleavage.

Moreover, Motiva® implants incorporate a radio frequency component, cleared by the FDA, providing lifetime information about the implants. This feature is particularly valuable for patients considering revision surgery, where data on existing implants is crucial.

Procedure

a Breast Augmentation procedure typically lasts 1 to 2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. Dr Shashi makes a single incision in the fold underneath the breast (inframammary fold), strategically placed to minimize visible scarring. A pocket is then created for the breast implant either behind the pectoral muscle or directly behind the breast tissue, based on various factors including implant type, desired enlargement degree, body type, and surgeon recommendations. The incisions are meticulously closed, and surgical tape is applied over them.

The results of breast augmentation are aesthetically pleasing breast enhancement, providing patients with increased confidence and satisfaction with their appearance.
